We WILL Overcome ...

We WILL Overcome ...

We WILL

Overcome …

In a fleeting moment, can a community turn in upon itself, but that is not the way to solve our international differences.

To those two men who seek to carve this world up between themselves recreating rotten and crumpled empires, think! Let not your names, after your demise, be found in the detritus of history with the likes of Adolf Hitler, Josef Stalin, Pol Pot and all the others in every century back to beyond time’s comprehension. No!

Be men and women of high principle.

See the plight of Afghanistan. And just for once, as you ready yourselves to lay waste the lives of millions around this Globe, imagine what you plan being, instead, visited upon your parents and your grandparents, as if they were still living.

What would be their response, the look in their eye, to both of you? Would they support you? Love you? Endorse you? They would love you, yes. For sure. But support? Endorsement?

Each of you has already known deep within your heart the frightening reply.

There is a very ancient Proverb. Whether fact or fiction it matters not. As with Chinese Proverbs, it stands as civilised, well-meaning, but in this instance, that fearful siren that all of us dread, the world over.

It is a terrible thing
to fall into the Hands
of the Living G-D.

… as it is written.
